Barnabas

I don't know if I
can be this to you
But I would like to try, if you will let me
My words and gestures don't seem like much
But they're here, ready and waiting
For a time when you might need them
My prayer is for God to show me
How I can make a difference
Bring a smile to your face
A song to your heart
Sunshine for your day
Peace for your journey.
The title is from a person in the Bible named Barnabas.
His name means encourager
And that's what he did wherever he went.
One of my friends at church has said
That everyone needs a Barnabas in their life
(that's what and who inspired the poem).
I'm sure Brittni was a Barnabas to a lot of people.
