Great Strides
A WALK TO CURE CYSTIC FIBROSIS

As promised, here are some of the pictures I took at the Lake Charles, Louisiana Great Strides Walk-A-Thon on May 19th, 2001.  Unfortunately, I did not take any during our walk, I was having too much fun talking as we were walking.  However, I did get some before the walk, during our warm-ups (I skated out of doing that by taking pictures instead), and after the walk.  I'll post more pictures soon.  

Walkers gather in preparation for a 4 mile walk for this great cause.

(Left), LA99 prepares everyone for live radio.  "Holler real loud and be heard"
(Right), at the Gazebo, fruits and cold drinks await for all who want.

 

The Gazebo is almost empty, everyone must be behind it, stretching before the walk.

Walkers raised about $11,000 locally.
Way to go Lake Charles, Louisiana Walkers.
